Las Vegas may not be the conventional choice for a babymoon, but this vibrant city offers a wealth of experiences, especially for expectant mothers. If you find yourself visiting Vegas while pregnant, you’ll quickly discover that there’s no shortage of activities tailored for relaxation and enjoyment.

When my husband had to attend a conference in the city while I was 17 weeks pregnant, I decided to embrace the experience rather than stay home feeling left out. While he mingled at workshops and client gatherings, I pampered myself with shows, shopping, and sightseeing. I’d say I came out ahead on this trip.

If you plan to explore Vegas during your pregnancy, here are some delightful activities to indulge in.

Must-Do Activities in Vegas While Pregnant

    Catch a Show

While late-night casinos and bustling clubs may not be suitable for everyone expecting a little one, the array of world-class shows is a must-see.

During my babymoon, I treated myself to a solo date night to see Mariah Carey at Caesars Palace, which was enchanting. I opted for an end seat to avoid being trapped amidst energetic groups, ensuring I could easily slip out whenever necessary.

My husband and I also attended “O™” by Cirque du Soleil® at the Bellagio. Initially unsure about the show, I ended up utterly captivated. Cirque du Soleil productions are nothing short of breathtaking, and I highly recommend adding one to your itinerary.

Visit the Visit Las Vegas website for the latest show schedules and picks.

Experience The High Roller at The LINQ

For a scenic overview of Las Vegas with minimal effort, you can ride The High Roller, the giant observation wheel at The LINQ. It takes 30 minutes for a complete rotation, offering stunning views of the city, especially at sunset.

    Venture to Seven Magic Mountains

If the noise and commotion of the Strip become overwhelming, consider a short drive to Seven Magic Mountains, a unique outdoor art installation just outside Vegas.

This display features seven vibrant towers of boulders standing over 30 feet tall, set against the vast Nevada desert. Visiting is free, but amenities are sparse—pack some snacks and be mindful that the nearest restrooms are about five miles away.

    Explore the Neon Museum

If you’re looking for a quirky experience, walk through the rich history of Las Vegas at the Neon Museum. Tours of The Neon Boneyard reveal the stories behind the rescued signs and the businesses they represented.

This museum serves as a unique way to learn about the city’s legacy and iconic figures. Plus, it’s a striking backdrop for your babymoon photos. Don’t forget to check out more retro signs in Downtown Las Vegas and watch a free Viva Vision light show at Fremont Street after sunset.

Go on a Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour

For a memorable experience in Vegas, book a helicopter tour covering both the Las Vegas Strip and the Grand Canyon.*

Having taken one during a previous visit, I can affirm that the differing landscapes—from the dazzling Strip to Lake Mead’s blues and the Grand Canyon’s rugged rocks—are mesmerizing.

You can enjoy a glimpse of the Grand Canyon and return to Vegas in time for brunch, or opt for a day tour by coach for a more leisurely experience. Many packages include stops at Hoover Dam and the chance to stroll on the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass walkway extending over the canyon.

*Always consult your doctor before participating in such activities.

    Visit Red Rock Canyon

If you’d prefer a less intense canyon experience, consider the scenic drive through Red Rock Canyon. This one-way route spans 13 miles, showcasing an otherworldly landscape.

If you’re up for it, try one of the 26 trails available for some fresh air and light exercise after the casino bustle.

Shop for Discounts & Designer Goods

I visited Las Vegas in August when the heat was intense, but the air-conditioned malls provided a welcome respite.

Check out The Venetian Resort for a unique shopping atmosphere alongside its ‘Venice’ canals, complete with gondola rides. You can delve into luxury brands at The Palazzo or discover more affordable options across the street at the Fashion Show Shopping Mall. For designer deals, don’t miss the Premium Outlets.

I personally favor the Las Vegas North Premium Outlet for its shopping experience, although it’s mostly outdoors. If you want to escape the heat, opt for the South Premium Outlet instead.

Indulge in Pregnancy Massage and Pampering

To alleviate any discomfort from travel or shopping, treat yourself to a pregnancy massage at one of the city’s upscale spas.

I opted for the MGM Grand Spa for convenience. Although access to certain facilities was limited, I enjoyed unwinding in the lounge before my blissful massage, tailored for pregnant guests.

Don’t miss out on a pampering hair session at The DryBar, where I relaxed with drinks and films while getting styled. You’ll leave not only looking fabulous but feeling amazing as well.

Satisfy Late-Night Cravings at the Cupcake ATM

No need to fret about late-night pregnancy cravings in Vegas. The city offers unique culinary experiences.

I definitely enjoyed my trip to the Sprinkles 24-hour cupcake ATM at The LINQ, closely accompanied by a quick stop at In-N-Out Burger.

Choosing the Right Stay in Las Vegas

We loved staying at Aria Resort and Casino on the Strip. With its chic, modern environment and superb spa, it’s centrally located along Las Vegas Boulevard.

However, there are diverse hotel options, so explore and compare to find the perfect fit for your needs.

    Car Rental in Las Vegas

Most hotels on the Strip facilitate car rentals within their lobbies, offering various vehicle options for convenient pickup.
